Faifley's Gable Artwork

Faifley Past, Present and Future Gable Artwork
Faifley Housing Association (FHA) and Knowes Housing Association (KHA) have worked in partnership with Community Links Scotland (CLS) to develop and implement a project involving children from Edinbarnet and St Joseph’s Primary Schools.
The brief was to produce a piece of artwork that represents Faifley in the Past Present and Future the P7 pupils fully embraced the brief producing colourful and imaginative artwork.
The children worked with artist Tom McKendrick and looked at the history of Faifley and their hopes for its future.  The project was an opportunity for the children to learn more about the history and evolution of the area.
All of the drawings were brought together to create an eye-catching banner which has now been erected on the gable end of a building on Faifley Road which was chosen by Faifley Housing Association. The images depict a feeling of childlike charm and illustrate the ancient and modern aspects of the area. The aim of the installation is to bring colour and life into the area.
